Esperanza and the Union Benevolent Association will partner to provide emergency housing services to Puerto Rican families living in Philadelphia after being displaced by last summer’s hurricanes. Assistance will include first month’s rent and security deposits for families who face several barriers to accessing housing, such as long waiting lists for HUD subsidies and Section 8 vouchers.
