Piccoli Playground has been selected as a Rebuild site!

Rebuild is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to refurbish parks, playgrounds, recreation centers and libraries to provide safe and attractive spaces for recreation and education, community services, and other essential programs. Rebuild promotes inclusion and opportunity for diverse businesses and individuals and empowers community voice while constructing improvements that support the well-being of Philadelphians.  Projects are made possible through the Philadelphia Beverage Tax.

Piccoli Recreation Center

The Piccoli Playground Recreation Center has evolved organically. The original building served the Park with restrooms and staff spaces. Activity spaces were
added later. The focus and the types of activities change over time. At present, programming interests expressed by the community include:

Piccoli Rebuild Project

To better support activities at Piccoli Playground Recreation Center the facility will receive a complete renovation.

  • New Main Entrance
  • New Staff services and supervision
  • New ADA Restrooms
  • New Kitchen Room
  • Main Activity Room: Updated finishes
  • New Energy Efficient Heating, Air conditioning, and Lighting

Construction Budget: $2,263,000
Community Ventures has submitted application for $250,000 through PA Dept of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for
their Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program (GTRP) grant.
