The Esperanza Academy Dance Ensemble, Technique I, Senior Dance Majors, and Intro to Dance kicked off the new year with an outstanding Winter Dance Concert last weekend at the Esperanza Academy Auditorium.
The concert featured solo and group performances including the award winning piece of the Puerto Rican Day Parade 2016. Among the wide range of styles there were Contemporary, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, African, and various forms of Latin Dance.
“It [the show] is designed to provide the students with a performance experience allowing them to demonstrate their mastery technical and performance skills,” Tania Y. Ramos Otón, Dance Teacher & Arts Department Chair and Director of Esperanza Academy Dance Ensemble said. “It also allows the friends and family to see their growth and celebrate with them.”
