Introducing Three NHPB Prayer Leaders!

#EsperanzaNews, Featured, NHPB

Meet three of the faith leaders who will lead us in prayer at NHPB!

We are excited to announce some of the distinguished clergy who will be offering prayers at the 2018 National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast!

Bishop Dr. Hector Luis Bonano met the Lord Jesus as his Savior in 1969. He graduated from the Latin American Biblical Institute in New York, and was ordained to full ministry in 1977. Dr. Hector Luis Bonano has been a Pastor of Iglesia de Cristo Misionera at 937 Teller Avenue Bronx, New York for 40 years. Additionally, he has served as Bishop of the Concilio de Iglesias de Cristo Misionera (Council of Missionary Churches of Christ) for more than 30 years. In his work in the northeast region, he has worked with CONLICO, the Fellowship of Council Leaders, for the last 18 years and has been its coordinator for the last 13 years. As a conciliar bishop he began working in the district when there were only 13 congregations. Today it has 60 congregations in the region and a work project that seeks to raise or establish new congregations in the United States.

Rev. Wilfredo “Choco” De Jesús is the Lead Pastor of New Life Covenant Church, one of the fastest growing churches in Chicago. Since he became Senior Pastor in 2000, New Life has grown to 17,000 adherents globally through church campuses, plants, and more than 110 ministries that reach the most disenfranchised – the poor, homeless, prostitutes, drug addicts, and gang members. In April 2013, Pastor Choco was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world and recognized for his leadership and influence within the Evangelical and Latino community, to the Glory of God. Pastor Choco is also the author of four books: Amazing Faith, In the Gap, Stay the Course and Move Into More. He is currently pursuing his doctorate at Southeastern University. He resides in the Humboldt Park community of Chicago with his wife Elizabeth; they have three adult children and one granddaughter.

Dr. Saturnino (Nino) González was born in New York from Puerto Rican parents. He graduated from Central Bible College with a Bachelor’s degree, and completed his Master’s program with the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He also has a Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Since 2000, he is the senior pastor at Iglesia El Calvario in Orlando, Florida. He is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and presently serves as the Florida Multicultural District – Assemblies of God Superintendent. He previously served as the PR District of the Assemblies of God Superintendent for nine years. Dr. González is married to Abigail and they have three children.
