A Message from President and CEO of Esperanza, Rev. Luis Cortes, Jr.

#EsperanzaNews, Esperanza in the News, Featured, Uncategorized

God has given us an opportunity to reside in a country that allows each individual to vote. As people of faith, we should put our values at the forefront and participate this Tuesday as we choose local, state and national political leaders.

They will decide the destiny of our children’s education, of our community, and of our economic opportunities. They will also decide to what extent we have freedom of speech, freedom of press, and most importantly for people of faith, freedom of religion.

It is a great responsibility to gather and vote on Tuesday. I encourage you to look at all of the candidates, meditate on their platforms, say a prayer, and decide for yourselves what the future of America should be.

Be the face of the Latino electorate. Post your pictures from the voting booth or with your “I Voted; Yo Votè” stickers on social media with the hashtag #YoSoyLaCara and let America know that Latinos vote.
