Reasons to be Hopeful in 2019!

#EsperanzaNews, Featured

New year, same vision! At Esperanza we remain committed to strengthening our Hispanic community through a vast array of programs – a mission we’ve carried out for 33 years.

With many bold, cutting edge projects on the works – we have so many reasons to be hopeful in 2019! We thought on listing a few:

Campaign for Hope!

As part of Esperanza’s transformative vision for Hunting Park, one of the poorest legislative districts in Philadelphia and one of the poorest in the nation, we will kick-off a $9.3M campaign to build gathering spaces for our community and an arts center that represents Hispanic cultural excellence. Stay tuned!

Affordable Housing

38 families will soon be moving into the newly renovated Roberto Clemente Homes, a building that had become vacant and blighted over the years, is now an anchored of hope in our community!

Teatro Esperanza

Esperanza Arts Center‘s Teatro Esperanza is gearing up to kick-off the Winter/Spring 2019 season presenting music, dance, theater, cinema, and visual arts from Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as a broad spectrum of traditions from around the world. View upcoming events here.

Newly Improved Job Training Services

Esperanza’s PA CareerLink served 17,000 clients last year, most of whom were Spanish speaking only. Committed to providing the same level of excellence, we’ve been undergoing major improvements to our curriculum in order to offer cutting-edge services for both job seekers and employers.

As we said, there’s so much more we’re looking forward to – from neighborhood revitalization projects to helping more immigrants fulfill their American dream, to educating the next generation of Latino world-changers. We know that with your support, we can continue creating transformative moments and bringing hope to those who need it most.
