Esperanza’s Housing and Economic Development (EHED) neighbor driven revitalization division kicked off the Spring season with a “Family Fun Night” last Friday, March 17.
Families and community members from the Hunting Park area attended the Spring celebration and enjoyed dinner with their neighbors, learned about available resources, participated in a raffled and even made their own Spring decorations.
“Organizing this type of events is extremely important to foster community engagement and identity while informing our neighbors about other events and opportunities,” Gabriella Gabriel Paez, Education and Community Development Manager, said. “These events serve as a bridge between Esperanza and the community and are a great tool to spread the word about City and other resources and our services,” Paez said.
EHED hopes to keep hosting events such as the Family Fun Night as a means to bring fun and unity to the community. For more information of upcoming events in Hunting Park visit, www.esperanza.us/EVENTS!
