Esperanza Arts Center to Kick-off 2019 Season with a Free Neighborhood Concert Featuring The Philadelphia Orchestra

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. Philadelphia, PA – February 11, 2019. Esperanza Arts Center (EAC) is proud to announce The Philadelphia Orchestra musicians will perform a free neighborhood concert at the new Teatro Esperanza in North Philadelphia. In addition to the concert, there will be several family activities, including face-painting, balloon animals, and an instrument safari. Wind players from The Philadelphia Orchestra will coach Esperanza Academy young musicians the week leading up to the event. On Sunday, the Orchestra musicians will perform a program featuring woodwind quintet music by Latino composers and an opening performance by the Esperanza Academy Band.
