Equipping To Serve Others

#EsperanzaNews, Featured, Uncategorized

October was a historical month for Esperanza’s National Programs as they hosted the 10th Esperanza Capacity Institute (ECI). Over 200 youth workers and pastors attended the conference which included relevant plenaries, networking opportunities, workshops, and worship.

For the first time, the ECI was able to have a day devoted to building the capacity of youth workers and pastors who attended the all-day long training. Not only was this a milestone for the organization, but the theme of the Capacity Institute, “Equipping for Service Toward The Other,” proved to be unique from those previous.

The youth pastors and their groups were invited to the “In The Barrio Youth Rally” event following the conference. Over 80 young people attended the rally where there were Christian Hip-Hop & Reggaeton artists, spoken word, and a Hip-Hop dance performance.

The event was possible thanks to the proactive collaboration with the Esperanza Academy staff and several youth pastors. It was such a success that many are looking forward to another!
