Nueva Esperanza, Inc. (Esperanza) was created in 1987 out of a commitment to strengthen our Hispanic communities and all who live within them. This has included establishing various institutions, subsidiary nonprofits, and programs as extensions of that mission.
On Thursday, December 4, Esperanza Academy Charter School experienced a 4 percent staff reduction, totaling 17 employees across its three buildings. Like many academic institutions across the Commonwealth and nation, Esperanza Academy is navigating a challenging economic environment.
Esperanza, through various affiliates, owns and maintains several parcels of real estate, including the facilities in which Esperanza Academy Charter School operates. Esperanza has engaged in numerous campus improvement projects in recent months that are part of our ongoing commitment to the many tenants and customers we serve, and our Hunting Park neighborhood. These projects have been planned for many years. Facilities under improvement are not the property of Esperanza Academy, and the school is not responsible for any costs associated with campus improvements.
