Looking Forward to Graduation

#EsperanzaNews, Featured

As 30 students prepare to celebrate their graduation from Esperanza College of Eastern University in December, we remember and recognize the most recent cohort of students who graduated last June.

Esperanza students are exceptional, overcoming many barriers in their pursuit of education and advancement. 99% are first generation college students, 57% are working while in school, 96% are low-income or eligible for FAFSA, 18% are have limited proficiency in English, and 95% are minority students. Nonetheless, our rate of students graduating in two years is about four times higher than other Associate degree institutions, and 64% of our graduates pursue bachelor’s degrees after their time at Esperanza College.
