Esperanza was proud to host La Mega 13010 AM’s Community Job Fair on Thursday, November 6th. The job fair included representatives from several companies, including Health Partners Plans, The Home Depot, Wells Fargo, the Philadelphia Police, the City of Philadelphia, and the Pennsylvania National Guard.
With more than 400 job-seekers in attendance, La Mega 1310AM’s job fair has brought to light the tremendous need for employment opportunities and a qualified workforce. Esperanza is thrilled to have been a part of the event’s success, and hopes to continue to help job seekers by hosting events such as this and the amazing work done at the Esperanza EARN Center.
The job fair also included guest speaker, City Manager and Deputy Mayor Rich Negrin who spoke on the importance of events such as this in giving community members the opportunity to meet face-to-face with employers that they may not have otherwise. “There’s no shortage of jobs, the city has them, and there’s no shortage of folks who need them. So, God bless you and keep up the good work,” he said. As always, Mr. Negrin was and continues to be supportive of Esperanza’s mission to strengthen Hispanic communities.
We would like to thank everyone who made this event possible: the employers, the organizers and especially La Mega 1310AM.
