#EsperanzaNews

Former President of Eastern University and Co-Founder of Esperanza College Dr. David Black addressed this year’s Esperanza College graduates at the ceremony held last Friday, May 26 at Esperanza Center. Dr. Black charged students to be a living example of Jesus and live in accordance to God’s plan for them.

“In life, we must remain salt of the earth and the light of the world,” Dr. David Black said. “There’s no telling what you will flavor like salt and light like a lamp… but put yourselves in your own story and start a movement.”

At the ceremony 45 graduates were celebrated for their accomplishments and had the opportunity to hear from several of their fellow classmates including Valedictorian Jeremy J. Colon.

“While at Esperanza I have acquired skills that have proven beneficial to me in and out of school,” Jeremy J. Colon said. “It is important to know that whatever we may decide to do, we seek to it to be in accordance to God’s plan.”

Graduates celebrated their important milestone with family and friends. See photos of Esperanza’s College graduation in the gallery below.
