#EsperanzaNews, Featured

Families and friends turned out in force to celebrate the graduation of five students from the Esperanza Cyber Charter School class of 2018 on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Congratulations to the new graduates!

Vanessa Espinal, 18.

“It was very awesome, I’ve never attended a cyber and I really like the change. Everything was there and the teachers are always there for you at any time of the day.”

Vanessa will be joining the U.S. Army.

Moses Benabe, 18, is a Philadelphia native.

“The cyber was different for me as I was here in Esperanza Academy for 3 years. I had to be independent and responsible. All my professors were awesome, they always pushed us to move forward and when we wanted to give up they didn’t let us.”

Moses will be joining the U.S. Navy.

Jermaine Newell Jr., 18, is a Philadelphia native.

“It was kind of hard at the beginning because I have a night shift at job and wouldn’t get out until the morning but then I got used to it and really liked it. The professors were very nice and helpful.”

Jermaine will attend Orleans Technological College to pursue a training course in Building Maintenance.

Genesis Soto, 18, is a Miami, FL, native.

“I liked that it taught me a lot of responsibility. My professors cared and were always there for me.”

Genesis will attend Eastern University to pursue a degree in Business Administration.
