Wyoming Spring Fest Gives 105 Trees to the Community

April 6, 2017Joy Huertas#EsperanzaNews

Yesterday, Esperanza Housing and Economic Development (EHED) hosted the Wyoming Spring Fest and Tree Giveaway at the Free Library of Philadelphia. EHED gave away over 100 trees to the community along with Tree Philly, a program of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Fairmount Park Conservancy and the TD Bank, to help people plant trees and grow our urban forest.

Over 250 eager community members attended the event, received a free tree to plant anywhere in Philadelphia, and enjoy an afternoon of music, face painting activities, pastries, and fellowship.

To find out more about EHED‘s programs and witness a community revitalizing itself visit MyHuntingPark.com
