Esperanza is thankful for the support of generous corporate donors that are invested in our local communities where their employees and clients live and work, and in the growing Hispanic population nationwide. Esperanza’s local impact, a national network of over 10,000 Hispanic congregations, non-profit agencies, and individuals, and effective programming make for strong, mutually beneficial partnerships.

There are many ways to impact and access the Hispanic community through support for Esperanza:

Support Our Programs
Esperanza relies on the support of generous individuals and organizations to support our programs and institutions which annually serve over 7,000 individuals in our Philadelphia market alone. With climbing rates of unemployment and poverty, the need for Esperanza’s services is more crucial than ever. Sponsor an Event
Biannually, Esperanza hosts the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast and Conference in Washington, DC. The event provides participants with access to elected officials and raises awareness of important issues, such as the impact of the foreclosure crisis upon minority homeownership. Sponsorships make this three day event possible and provides sponsors with visibility to our national network and access to over 600 attendees. For more information about sponsorship in 2013, please contact Christine Nieves or Elizabeth Pendley in our development department at 215.324.0746 ext 248.

Volunteer with Esperanza
Volunteer opportunities provide corporations the chance to work directly in our community and give the gifts of time to Esperanza. Esperanza offers corporate volunteers an array of ways to engage with our work, including mentoring Esperanza Academy high school students, participating in community clean up days, developing a pro-bono project that provides staff with needed expertise and many more. Donor Spotlight: Aetna & Citizens Bank

Thanks to a tax credit program created by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Aetna and Citizens Bank each provide Esperanza with funding to improve housing for residents, raise educational and levels of community residents, and encourage neighborhood based community development. In exchange, they receive a tax credit for their contribution. Combined, the two companies will have contributed $4 million dollars through multi-year commitments. As a result of their support, major transformation has taken place.

Reverend Raul LeDuc of Iglesia Zion Church and Board member for Esperanza described the impact of these dollars in his community: “On behalf of the residents and congregants of North Philadelphia we thank the state, city and our new partners… for your gracious gift to help out our area. The projects that will be enhanced and created from these tax credit dollars, will empower our community and its members. This is truly a blessing.”
