Our Goal
Esperanza Immigration Legal Services (EILS) was created in response to the growing number of immigrants moving to the Philadelphia area and the increasing demand in the immigrant community for information and legal assistance. In 2010, EILS became an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  Our goal is to serve and advocate for “the least of these,” by providing community education, advocacy, and direct legal services to immigrants and their families, so that they may participate in and benefit fully from American society.

EILS is proud to offer low-cost services to immigrants who are in need of trustworthy, personalized, and bilingual legal representation. Reduced fees are available for those whose family income is less than 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. Most EILS clients fall below 175% of the poverty level and over 85% of clients are Spanish-speaking. Since its inception in 2009, EILS has provided 232 clients with direct legal services, and has reached over 150 through its educational workshops and advocacy efforts.
