2009 Esperanza Capacity Institute Organizational Assessment Tool Instructions

After registering, you will receive an email that includes a link to complete the Organizational Assessment Tool. This assessment takes an average of 30 minutes to complete.

What is the OAT?
The OAT is a self-assessment tool intended to provide leaders with a tool to comprehensively review the major aspects of internal organizational development that can be used to increase organizational effectiveness.

Why is the OAT important for the Esperanza Capacity Institute?
The Organizational Assessment Tool is composed of five major areas of organizational development that once completed will be scored by Esperanza to identify your organizational strengths and needs. The Esperanza Capacity Institute will provide these scores to you as a guide for your targeted development. It generally will indicate the training and assistance services that may be needed to increase your organization’s capacity.

Directions to complete the OAT
It is important that we receive only one assessment per organization. If there is more than one participant from your organization attending, we ask that those participants complete only one assessment as a group, using collective knowledge to better evaluate their organization.

It is in the best interest of each participating organization to provide the current and actual information rather than the future or desired responses to the questions. Please discuss each topic and rate the degree to which your organization has achieved the stated goal. If you do not know whether the goal has been achieved, please check “Don't Know”

Note: There are no right or wrong answers. The more accurate your responses, the better training recommendations we can provide for your organization. Please answer the questions based on the current state of your organization/program, and not the desired state. This is the only way in which we can assist you with identifying areas of need.

Should you have any questions related to the Organizational Assessment Tool (OAT), please contact Marcos Sánchez at 215-324-0746 ext. 310 or at msanchez@esperanza.us.
