Esperanza Increases Award Amount for Grant Fund Benefiting Hispanic Communities in Philadelphia

February 24, 2015. Philadelphia, PA. – Esperanza, Inc. (Esperanza) is pleased to announce that the Esperanza Hispanic Ministry Small Grant Fund, a funding opportunity for Hispanic/Latino Clergy and churches located in Philadelphia County, will be offering increased award amounts!

Established by the Hispanic Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity in 1987, Esperanza strives to demonstrate God’s call to service as expressed in Matthew 25:40.  As Esperanza and the Hispanic/Latino community continues to grow, Esperanza has expanded the size and scope of its programs to address evolving needs and to improve the economic stability of the region.  Esperanza has sought to empower the Hispanic church and since its inception, has invested over $13M into Hispanic faith based organizations.

Esperanza is eager to continue its investments and as a result has increased the award cap to $1,000.  In addition, Esperanza will now be accepting applications on a rolling basis.

The Esperanza Hispanic Ministry Small Grant Fund supports Latino/Hispanic churches and church leadership located in Philadelphia County and funds projects that focus on the development of the church’s leadership (professional and lay) and the church’s ministries of service to the Latino/Hispanic community.
